NEW ORLEANS JESTERS FALL TO BRADENTON ACADEMICS IN DIVISION PLAYOFFS
The New Orleans Jesters lost 1-0 to the Bradenton Academics in the first round of the PDL Southeast Division Playoffs tonight in Ridgeland, MS.

Key players PJ Kee, Mark Ross and Gary Stopforth were unable to play in tonight’s game. Stopforth was suspended, Ross was injured and Kee was taking the bar exam. James Gledhill played, but was injured as well.

“Obviously, our goal was to win and continue on to the next round, and so we are disappointed,” said Jesters’ head coach Kenny Farrell. “But, I’m incredibly proud of our team and our players. For a first year organization, they’ve done a brilliant job.”

“Our goal was to raise the level of soccer in the New Orleans area, and I believe we achieved that goal,” said Jesters’ owner and CEO Dana Stumpf. “We have an outstanding team and an amazing fan base, and we are already looking forward to next season.”
